Working Style
"The observation of nature is my real inspiration. You'll find me with a small sketchpad, pencils, and camera wherever I go!"

Cathy sketches from life recording details as she goes. Sketching out her ideas on canvas and mapping in blocks of thinly applied colour quickly to build up the composition.
Painting firstly light and then darker tones to create tonal balance. Often she is working on several paintings at the same time while waiting for paints to dry between coats.
